FM Industries in Livermore, CA is seeking a Hardware Assembler 3 to perform helicoil assembly, gasket cutting, and related finishing tasks on aluminum, steel, plastic and copper components. The role involves reading blueprints, setting up parts, and achieving precise surface finishes with various hand and power tools.

You will work with lead and supervisory guidance and contribute to post anodize part finishing, including O‑ring polishing and sealing surface work.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Technical School.
Must be reliable and have excellent attendance.
4-6 years' related experience preferred.
Enrolled in vocational education for machine technology or practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD&T preferred.

Responsabilités

Operate pneumatic or electric power finishing tools (orbital sander, DA sander, flappers, die grinders).
Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
Follow blueprints to achieve surface finishes like lay patterns and sealing surfaces.
Install helicoils and dowel pins into parts using blueprints and shop routers to determine size/quantity/location.
Mask sealing surface lay patterns and polish post anodize parts.
