Job summary

Geater Machining and Manufacturing, Co. seeks a Hardware Installation Technician to assemble metal products, attach sub-assemblies, and install fasteners in a manufacturing setting. You will read blueprints and specifications to determine the sequence of operations, and ensure conformance with quality standards.

The role requires English fluency, ability to use tools safely, and teamwork. Prior experience is a plus; high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Interpret blueprints and instructions with accuracy.
• Operate and use required tools safely.
• Read and interpret documents such as blueprints and safety rules.
• Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
• Computer literate and able to learn new equipment.
• Work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Analyze work orders, pieces, and blueprints to determine steps and materials.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Install hardware such as terminals and electrical components.
• Operate riveting machines and other installation equipment.
• Make minor repairs and clean tools between uses.
• Verify finished work against specifications using measuring devices.
• Communicate with supervisors to resolve production issues.
• Submit change requests to keep production times competitive.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
