Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Machine Operator for 2nd shift in the United States to set up and operate the saw, ensure safety and quality, and perform routine maintenance. You will complete paperwork and process checks, handle changeovers, and maintain housekeeping in a fast-paced production area.

The role requires basic math, willingness to work overtime/weekends, and adherence to GMP/SQF protocols. Prior RF Scanner experience is a plus and relocation is not mentioned.

Qualifications

• 3 months work history with the same employer.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• RF Scanner experience preferred.
• Comply with safety, GMP and SQF requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down of the saw.
• Run the saw with maximum speed, slicing yield, and percent acceptable products.
• Perform minor maintenance on saw including changing blades and cleaning.
• Perform necessary paperwork and process control checks.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
• Comply with safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
• Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
• Perform any other work as assigned by management.
• Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and accurately report product information into the computer.
• Ability to input product film, boxes, casings, clips, and ingredients for daily product runs, including changeovers.
