Job summary

InPower, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is seeking a dependable Grinder / Metal Finishing Operator for its sheet-metal fabrication team. This role grinds, deburrs, blends and finishes welded and fabricated metal parts to meet quality and appearance standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in metal grinding, finishing, welding, or fabrication.
• Experience with sheet metal.
• Ability to read shop drawings and measurements.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to learn new processes and equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move metal parts.
• PPE compliance.
• Work around noise, dust, sparks.

Responsibilities

• Grind and finish welded and fabricated metal components.
• Remove weld spatter, burrs, and excess material.
• Blend welds and smooth surfaces per specs.
• Use angle grinders, die grinders, sanders safely.
• Inspect finished parts for defects.
• Read drawings and follow instructions.
• Prepare parts for finishing processes.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE.
• Perform other fabrication duties as assigned.
