Job summary

Colorado Premium Foods is seeking a Grind Operator to ensure high quality standards and personal safety in the grinding process. The role involves inspecting raw materials and processed grind, maintaining grinders, and performing routine maintenance to minimize downtime.

Emphasis on LOTO procedures, FIFO rotation, and accurate quality paperwork is required. Candidates should have at least a high school credential and 2 years of manufacturing equipment experience in food operations.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Two years of manufacturing equipment experience in commercial food operations recommended.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English.
• Ability to stand for eight hours and lift up to 50 lbs (80 lbs with assistance).

Responsibilities

• Inspects machinery to ensure compliance with specifications and minimize downtime.
• Performs routine maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on grinder equipment.
• Follows lockout/tagout procedures to safeguard workers from hazardous energy.
• Ensures FIFO raw material rotation and accurate production paperwork.
• Maintains sanitation, safety, and quality documentation in accordance with HACCP/SQF programs.
