Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Grinding Room Operator SS 2nd to operate a grinder/extruder, monitor batch data, and support quality assurance. The role requires reading, writing and basic math, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities include ingredient preparation, equipment setup, and collaboration with the team to maintain production standards and efficiency. On-site shift work with physical demands and PPE requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience with heavy machinery is preferred.
• Forklift license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinder/extruder ensuring proper operation of the machine and record data tied to batches for quality assurance.
• Mix ingredients at correct temperatures, load materials for proper mixture, and manage screens and hammer rotation via touch screen computer.
