Job summary

Bauer Compressors, Inc. is seeking a Grinder to operate grinding machines within the Fabrication team. You will read blueprints, polish parts, and ensure conformance to specs while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities include selecting grinding attachments, deburring, inspecting parts, and documenting progress. Requires 1 year experience, sharp attention to detail, and ability to work with precision tools in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of grinding/manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Good verbal communication and ability to follow directions.
• Experience using common measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to smooth, polish, or grind parts.
• Communicate status of parts to grind units with supervisor.
• Calibrate and use grinding attachments and equipment.
• Deburr, buff, or polish materials to spec.
• Inspect work pieces for defects and conformance.
• Ensure safety devices are operative.
• Operate hand and power grinding tools.
• Complete certifications for specialized tooling as needed.
• Work at different production workstations as required.
• Comply with ISO and company policies; use SFM reporting.
