Goodwin Recruiting represents an established tool and die manufacturer seeking a Manual Precision Grinder in LaOtto, IN. This hands-on role focuses on manual OD, ID, and surface grinding for custom tooling and precision components in a stable, team-oriented environment.

You will read blueprints, set up grinding machines, select wheels, and verify parts with micrometers and gauges. First-shift, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating manual precision grinding equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience using micrometers, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Understanding of tight tolerances, surface finishes, and dimensional accuracy.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual OD, ID, and surface grinders.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Inspect finished components to verify dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Troubleshoot grinding issues, including taper, chatter, and dimensional inconsistencies.
