CK Contractors and Development LLC is seeking a Grading Equipment Operator to join our site grading teams within the Charlotte metro area radius. You will operate and maintain bulldozers, excavators, rollers, backhoes, and other heavy equipment to shape sites according to plans.

Qualified candidates have at least two years of grading experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work with crews across trades.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of site grading experience.
• Demonstrated ability to operate various grading equipment.
• Must demonstrate excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards.
• Must be able to work with others to achieve company results; have the ability to think critically to analyze information and make sound decisions.
• Effective communication with other operators, truck drivers and general laborers is critical, both verbally and nonverbally.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel; evenings, nights, weekends and overtime are expected.
• Must adapt to changing situations and priorities with a positive attitude.
• Must wear safety attire (safety vests, glasses, boots) and maintain a presentable image.
• Continuous mental and visual attention is necessary to safely complete tasks.

Responsabilités

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as bulldozers, skid steers, excavators, rollers, backhoes, and off-road trucks.
• May perform fine or rough grading.
• Read plans on site and check grade according to site plan.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals.
• Take action to avoid hazards or obstructions.
• Check fuel supplies to ensure adequate availability.
• Monitor operations to meet health and safety standards.
• Perform pre and post checks of equipment and keep it clean.
• Keep records of material or equipment usage and issues.
• Support other job positions as needed.
• Maintain attendance and accept overtime when required.
