Job summary

Down to Earth is hiring a Golf Equipment Operator in Kissimmee, Florida to support daily maintenance of our golf courses. You will operate riding mowers, reel mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, and other turf equipment to keep greens, tees, fairways, and surrounds in top condition.

The role requires 2+ years of equipment experience, strong safety mindset, and the ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Join a team focused on precision, teamwork, and high-quality playability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating landscape or turf maintenance equipment.
• Ability to safely operate mowing and utility equipment.
• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in work quality.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate golf course maintenance equipment such as riding mowers, reel mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, turf vacs, skip-loaders, aerifiers, sprayers, and specialty turf equipment.
• Perform daily mowing of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and surrounds as assigned.
• Assist with course maintenance activities including bunker maintenance, debris removal, edging, and general grounds care.
• Monitor turf conditions and report issues such as disease, stress, or damage to supervisors.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance such as cleaning, fueling, and blade checks.
• Follow daily work schedules, mowing patterns, and course setup instructions.
• Adhere to all safety policies, equipment guidelines, and course rules.
• Support tournament setup, special events, and seasonal course preparation.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas, equipment storage, and maintenance zones.
• Performing other tasks as assigned.
