Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with heavy components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience operating hobbing, gashing or shaping gear equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, gear drawings, and manufacturing orders.
• Set up gear cutting machines and install appropriate tools and fixtures.
• Operate machines to cut, shape, and finish gears using hobbing, gashing, or shaping processes.
• Monitor operations and ensure gears meet specifications and tolerances.
• Perform in-process quality checks and document results.
