Job summary

Engineered Medical Systems (EMS) in Bartlett, TN is seeking a Quality Gaging Technician to oversee, monitor, and advise on gage usage and documentation for product acceptance.

You will calibrate gages, interface with customers on gage loans, and train EMS staff on calibration policies while ensuring compliance with QMS 7600.

This on-site role operates a modified shift Monday–Friday 12:00pm–8:00pm and supports the EMS Quality Policy and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of gaging.
• Ability to understand basic measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators).
• Ability to read and understand the Router.
• Understand the Data Collection System.
• Understanding of relevant Safety requirements.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EMS QA inspection gaging policies to meet process needs and customer requirements per QMS 7600.
• Identify and calibrate all gages used in formal product acceptance.
• Interface with customers regarding gages loaned to EMS.
• Instruct EMS personnel on proper gage calibration practices and policies.
• Oversee updates and changes to documentation and records procedures for gage ID, traceability, maintenance, and calibration.
• Oversee the gage tracking system to verify calibrations are current and gages are identified before use.
• Advise area manager and assist in non-compliance policy implementation when a gage is out of calibration.
• Ensure gages are stored in a safe and environmentally suitable location.
• Support EMS Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
