Job summary

Engineered Medical Systems is seeking a Quality Gaging Technician to oversee QA inspection gaging and calibration activities, ensuring product acceptance meets strict medical device standards. You will calibrate gages, interface with customers, and train staff on gage practices, contributing to continuous improvement in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of gaging.
• Able to read measuring equipment including mics, calipers, comparators, and indicators.
• Must be able to read and understand the Router and Data Collection System.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English; team player.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA inspection gaging policies to meet process needs and customer requirements (QMS 7600).
• Identify and maintain calibration of all gages used in product acceptance.
• Interface with customers regarding gages loaned to EMS.
• Instruct personnel on proper gage calibration practices and policies.
• Oversee updates, changes, and training to documentation and records procedures.
• Oversee gage tracking system to verify calibrations and proper identification.
• Advise area manager if a gage is out of calibration and assist with non-compliance policies.
• Ensure gages stored in safe, environmental conditions.
