Responsibilities include visual inspections, use of calipers and MPI, preparing metallurgical specimens, and lifting up to 35 lbs. Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00AM-3:30PM, with safety emphasis and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum entry level requires a high school diploma and two years of training or related experience in Metallurgical Laboratory, Quality Inspection, NDT, or similar field using quality inspection/qualification equipment.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Self-starter able to work independently and under the direction of engineering staff.
• Attention to detail and safety oriented.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and communicate with varying technical levels.

Responsibilities

• Verify conformity of cut/ready-to-ship parts against customer requirements and standards.
• Perform visual inspection and various nondestructive tests (MPI, PT) as needed.
• Prepare metallurgical specimens and operate measurement gauges.
• Follow written/verbal instructions from engineers and planners; maintain housekeeping and equipment upkeep.
