Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Gage Calibration Technician I in New Hampshire to support calibration of electrical, mechanical, and electronic instruments.

The role emphasizes learning to use precision measuring tools, performing routine calibrations, and maintaining records in a manufacturing setting. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and basic GD&T knowledge, with strong communication skills in English and the ability to work on-site in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and minimum inspection experience equivalent to a Mechanical/Dimensional Inspector, Level 1 or greater.
• Ability to understand and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and tolerances.
• Basic working knowledge of GD&T and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Ability to use calibration software such as Gage Trak.

Responsibilities

• Set up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate instruments and test equipment.
• Disassemble gauges and inspect components for defects.
• Measure parts for conformity with specifications.
• Reassemble and calibrate gauges and instruments.
• Maintain calibration records and perform routine mechanical calibrations.
• Assist engineers in developing test and calibration plans to maintain precision accuracy.
