Job summary

Presrite Corporation is seeking a Hot Inspector to verify in-process conformities for forgings in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role requires first article inspections, visual and dimensional checks, and accurate reporting of nonconforming parts.

The ideal candidate will read and interpret blueprints, perform hardness evaluation, and communicate findings to supervisors. Proficiency with Excel/Word/Notes and lifting up to 50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Able to lift 50 lbs safely.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprint drawings.
• Basic computer skills: Excel, Word, Notes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual conformity on hot forgings.
• Adjust settings on temperature measurement system.
• Verify conformity of parts via magnetic particle inspection per setup file.
• Set up and size first piece forge parts.
• Tag boxes of nonconforming parts and complete appropriate reports.
• Record all findings from production runs on hot inspection reports.
• Input temperature set points for each job and setup temperature on Ircon temperature measurement system.
• Input and interpret measurement data to determine if the parts are in statistical control.
• Fill out scrap tickets as appropriate.
