Aluminum Precision Products (APP) seeks an Inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspection of in-process forgings, ensuring production requirements and specifications are met. The role emphasizes safety, attendance, and accurate recordkeeping, with collaboration across APP teams.

Qualifications

• Follow safety procedures and maintain an organized, lean work environment.
• Strong commitment to attendance and being on time to meet production needs.
• Use appropriate tools to examine the dimensions of forged parts and ensure requirements.
• Keep accurate counts/records for traceability.
• Inspect and approve the first piece before running full production.
• Collaborate with other APP employees/departments.
• Report faulty equipment or facility defects to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by department manager.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished or in-process forgings for dimensional accuracy using calipers and micrometers.
• Record measurements and maintain traceability of parts/work pieces.
• Approve first article before continuing production run.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve quality issues.
• Report equipment defects and participate in root-cause analysis when needed.
