Job summary

Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), a part of Foundation Building Materials, is seeking an Estimator to deliver precise cost estimates for commercial doors, frames, and hardware projects. You will analyze plans, prepare bid quantities, and support bid management through take-offs and data-driven reviews.

In this role, collaborate with a Sales Director and project teams to ensure accuracy, reduce risk, and optimize schedules.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent combination of construction industry experience.
• Two years in the construction industry, with emphasis in the specific fields of Doors, Frames, Hardware, and Specialties.
• Great communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam, EPWS.)

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate scopes of work and detailed cost estimates.
• Identify labor, material, and time requirements to support competitive and complete bid packages.
• Develop cost-effective and labor‑efficient schedules for project execution.
• Maintain and update cost databases for accuracy and future reference.
• Present estimates by compiling and summarizing data for internal and client review.
