Qualifications

• Education/Certification/Licensure: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Job Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of various metal grades, thicknesses, sizes, and basic welding and cutting processes.
• Preferred: Ability to review and understand basic concepts from material list and/or drawings.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within the plant, yard, or work site.
• Reads work orders and follows oral instructions from Department Supervisors for certain materials or containers to be moved.
• Operates burning table and other machinery to burn plate shapes; sets up equipment and adjusts feeds, speeds, and tips for stock size.
• Maintains part numbers and labels on material racks to assist with inventory tracking; ensures traceability.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
