Fortune Fish & Gourmet seeks a Fish Filleter to accurately cut various fish, maximize product utilization, and support a clean, compliant production area. The role emphasizes attention to detail and adherence to safety standards within a fast-paced seafood environment.

The successful candidate will work with fillet knives and processing equipment, maintain strict sanitation, and report any issues to supervision. This position supports our growing seafood business in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of cutting/filleter experience.
• Education - High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using fillet knives and food processing equipment.
• Basic English speaking and written proficiency.
• Willingness to work in a cold climate (35°F).

Responsabilités

• Cut a variety of fish to ensure lowest percentage of loss.
• Maintain a clean work area and equipment for high sanitation standards.
• Survey equipment to ensure proper working order; report malfunctions.
• Handle product to maximize shelf life and sanitation.
• Inform supervisor of production or safety concerns.
• Clean up workstation and department at end of shift.
• Communicate quality issues to supervisors.
• Meet production and quality expectations set by supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
