Job summary

Advantage Manufacturing of Colorado Springs is seeking a finishing specialist to ensure every part leaves the area smooth, safe, and on spec. You will grind, deburr, and blend edges on precision sheet metal parts using handheld and powered tools as well as automated systems.

You will read blueprints, perform tactile and visual inspections, and verify critical features with calipers and gauges. The role requires reliability, teamwork, and strict PPE adherence in a production setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in metal finishing, deburring or grinding.
• Proficiency with hand grinders, deburring tools and finishing machines.
• Familiar with blueprint reading, shop math and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail, good communication, and reliable work ethic.
• Good manual dexterity for small parts and ability to work independently or with a team.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Finish to spec by grinding, deburring, and blending edges on precision sheet metal parts.
• Interpret blueprints and instructions to achieve surface finishes and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform tactile and visual inspection; use calipers, micrometers and gauges; suggest process tweaks.
