Job summary

UMC is seeking a General Finishing Operator in Monticello, MN to rotate through finishing tasks and ensure high-quality parts meet customer specifications. You will use manual tools and inspection equipment to support assembly, deburring, polishing, washing, and tumbling while upholding our values of Great People, Going Beyond, and Growing.

The role offers a Friday–Sunday schedule, onsite work, with a 20% shift differential and a $3,000 annual retention bonus, plus three weeks of PTO and

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with machine trades and secondary operations and assembly experience preferred.
• Experience in finishing or second operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate finishing processes including polishing, washing, tumbling, and deburring.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and related inspection equipment.
• Follow processes to polish, wash, tumble, bead blast, hone and assemble parts as required.
• Maintain safety and quality standards and communicate any hazards or issues.
