Job summary

Ultra Machining Company (UMC) in Monticello, MN seeks a General Finishing Operator to rotate through finishing tasks, inspect parts, and ensure customer specifications are met. You’ll work a Monday-Thursday night shift (4:30 pm–3:00 am) onsite with a supportive team and growth opportunities.

The role emphasizes hands-on finishing, blueprint interpretation, precision inspection, and using Epicor/1factory software, with a focus on safety and quality in a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Ability to inspect a part and learn to use inspection equipment.
• Able to interpret blueprints and perform basic measurements.
• Proficiency with basic math and common hand tools.
• Familiarity with Epicor and 1factory software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use inspection equipment and gauges to verify parts meet specs.
• Polish, wash, tumble, bead blast, hone, assemble, and deburr parts as required.
• Maintain safety and quality standards and identify improvement opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates about throughput and quality.
• Work independently or in a team with strong attention to detail.
