Job summary

You will read job specs, select cores, and manage rewind methods to ensure accurate finishes.

The role requires basic math, ability to read safety instructions, and the stamina to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to read rulers, scales and other measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Receives job assignments and selects correct cores and rewind method.
• Reviews job jacket to ensure all finishing, packaging, and shipping specs are addressed.
• Inspects products for quality and packages items for shipment.
• Monitors material flow to detect irregular cutting or winding.
• Ensures color, size, die cut, perforations, print, and quantity meet specifications.
• Assists in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging converting jobs.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machines.
• Removes or replaces blades on inspection machines.
• Completes paperwork for each job and prepares goods for shipment.
• Maintains clean and organized work areas.
