Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: No prio or prior experience required for entry level.
• Computer Skills: Ability to use computer to track time and work tasks; record finished pieces and scrap.
• Other Requirements: Ability to perform very detailed hand work with repetitive grasping and fingering while holding parts and using hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Select files or abrasives based on work piece material, size, and finish specifications.
• Grind, sand, clean, or polish parts using hand and power tools.
• File grooved or contoured surfaces to match templates or blueprints.
• Trim, deburr, and remove excess material with chisels and scrapers.
• Load/unload parts on equipment; move finished pieces to containers.
• Apply cleaning solutions and degreasers to prep surfaces.
• Inspect parts and compare to templates; measure dimensions with gauges.
• Record processing data per procedures.
