Job summary

American Air Filter International is seeking an assembler to work in our manufacturing environment in the United States. You will assemble filters by inserting media into frames, applying urethane, and securing components with bolts or staples, while ensuring squareness and correct pleat count per specifications.

The role requires basic reading of work instructions and tape measures, with 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • 6 months’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
  • License or certificates in any of the above‑mentioned trade skills are beneficial

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Clean off excess urethane from production filter frame prior to moving to the next stage (where applicable).

· Confirm frame is square based on the filter specifications provided.

· Measure and maintain correct pleat count (where applicable).

· Produce quality filters and meet Company specifications in a fast-paced environment.

  • Follow safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to read a tape measure.

· Must be able to read and understand written work instructions.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

6 months’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:

License or certificates in any of the above-mentioned trade skills are beneficial

  • Safety glasses are always required to protect against dust and particles.
  • Protective clothing must be always worn to protect against injury which may include cut resistant gloves, sleeves, aprons and gowns.
  • Closed toe shoes and long pants are required. Sleeveless shirts are prohibited in the warehouse and production areas.

· Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes and dust particles.

· Must be able to withstand both a hot and cold atmosphere depending on weather conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Must be able to lift to approximately 25-40 pounds as required.

· Must be able to stand at workstation for a long period of time.

· Must be able to use both hands on a continuous basis.

· Move arms up and down and from side to side to clean/assemble filters.

· Walks to transfer frames to the next station.

  • Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
