Applied Technical Services, LLC is seeking a Field Services Calibration Technician to be based in Newport News, VA. This full-time role involves providing calibration services in the lab and managing calibration needs for customers, including scheduling and coordinating with the lab for capabilities.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong communication skills, able to work independently, and capable of lifting up to 60 pounds while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• Two years related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Basic experience with calibration and measuring instrumentation.
• Commercial or Military experience acceptable.
• Basic math skills: algebra, geometry, statistics.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds and work 40+ hours.
• Clean driving record, background check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide calibration services for assets and lab work.
• Schedule and send out items for calibration or repair.
• Identify and apply appropriate measurement techniques.
• Maintain calibration standards and documentation.
• Work with instruments and tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, torque devices.
• Perform calibration tasks in lab and field settings.
• Adhere to safety requirements and company standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
