Job summary
Applied Technical Services is seeking an Environmental Systems Calibration & Service Technician to support Newport News, VA and surrounding Tidewater region. You will inspect, calibrate, and service environmental chambers, refrigerators, freezers, and related equipment in pharma, life science, manufacturing, and healthcare settings.
The role requires strong troubleshooting of temperature, humidity, pressure, and environmental systems, with field and lab work as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years servicing environmental chambers or related equipment.
- Experience interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
- Experience in ISO/IEC 17025, GMP, or FDA-regulated environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of environmental chambers and related equipment.
- Conduct temperature mapping, qualification, and validation following customer protocols.
- Calibrate sensors, transmitters, controllers, data loggers, and monitoring instrumentation.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control system issues.
- Prepare calibration certificates, service reports, and qualification documents.
- Coordinate with customers on status, findings, and recommendations.
- Support commissioning, installation, startup, and OPQ projects as required.
