Job summary

The DeLong Co., Inc. seeks a Custom Applicator to operate application equipment and apply fertilizer and crop protection products to customer fields with precision and safety.

In this role you will build strong customer relationships while promoting proper product use, following blend sheet specs and safety requirements. We offer a path for licensing assistance and a stable, growth-oriented team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and basic math skills required.
• Agricultural background beneficial.
• CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred (we'll help you get licensed).
• Applicator's license preferred.
• Chemical application experience preferred.
• Good driving record required.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Willingness to work 40–50 hours a week, longer during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Accurately apply fertilizer and/or chemicals per blend sheet specifications.
• Maintain and repair application equipment per schedule and procedures.
• Communicate with managers and sales staff to ensure safe, accurate, efficient application.
• Work in various areas of operation as assigned and support customers professionally.
• Supervise drivers during product transfer operations.

Education
