Job summary

IPG Medical, a wholly owned subsidiary of IPG Photonics, is seeking a Small Piece Assembler for 1st shift. Build components and sub-assemblies for high-powered lasers, following procedures at a standing workstation with microscopes and precision tools.

Inspect, assemble, and test optical components, wear cleanroom attire, and meet production metrics. Requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years of related assembly experience, and familiarity with Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous assembly experience preferred in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and sub-assemblies for fiber-optic medical products.
• Operate test equipment and microscopes to verify quality.
• Wear cleanroom attire and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and meet production metrics.
• Cross-train in production processes as needed.
• Assist in basic setup and troubleshooting of equipment.
