Job summary

UCL Connections in Carrollton, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Cable Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will prepare, assemble, test, and terminate custom fiber optic and copper cable assemblies and wire harnesses according to customer specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with small components, fiber optics, copper cables, hand tools, and production equipment, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a high-volume

Qualifications

1–5 years of experience with fiber optic cable, cable assemblies, or wire harnesses.
Experience assembling small components, cables, or electronic/mechanical assemblies.
Experience with fiber optic cable preparation and termination preferred.
Ability to read drawings, work instructions, travelers, and process documentation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work in a high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities

Build custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses per documentation.
Prepare and terminate fiber optic cable assemblies including SC, LC, ST, FC, MTRJ, APC, MTP.
Perform cutting, stripping, crimping, polishing, and other assembly steps.
Inspect for quality and compliance throughout assembly.
Communicate material shortages to Supervisor.
Maintain safe, clean, organized work area.
