Job summary

Henderson Group is seeking a Fabricator – Machine Operator in Harlan, Iowa. You will set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment to produce metal components according to blueprints and work orders.

Safety, quality, and accurate production records are essential. Responsibilities include operating press brakes, rollers, punches, and related machinery; using calipers, micrometers, rulers, squares, angle gauges, and height gauges; reading parts drawings; and maintaining efficient production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience is acceptable.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills including dimensions, quantities, metric conversions, algebra, and geometry.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, diligence, and time management skills.
• Welding experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, rollers, punch presses, sanders, drills, grinders, shears, saws, and other fabrication machinery.
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, angle gages, and height gages.
• Practice the highest degree of safety when performing essential duties of the position.
• Read and interpret parts drawings, process routings, and production requirement information.
