Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Fabricator – Machine Operator for our client in Harlan, IA. You will set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment to produce metal components per blueprints and work orders, while maintaining safety and quality records.

Responsibilities include operating press brakes, rollers, punches, and other tools; reading drawings; and ensuring accurate production data. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with 1–2 years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1-2 years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills including dimensions, quantities, metric conversions, algebra, and geometry.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, diligence, and time management skills.
• Welding experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, rollers, punch presses, sanders, drills, grinders, shears, saws, and other fabrication machinery.
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, angle gages, and height gages.
• Practice the highest degree of safety when performing essential duties of the position.
• Read and interpret parts drawings, process routings, and production requirement information.
