Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie in Columbus, OH seeks a Fabricator for 2nd shift to bend, seat, flange and top flange material per drawings, with opportunities to learn additional manual fabrication tasks. The role operates on an overtime-friendly schedule Monday–Thursday, 2:30pm–1:00am, and includes a $2 shift differential.

You will perform quality inspections against drawings, maintain a clean work area, and help move finished products through the line while adhering to safety and lean production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED required.
• 3 years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and understand production drawings and pass the exam.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake and other manual fabrication equipment to manufacture parts according to prints and work orders. (75%)
• Perform quality inspections to drawings and specifications per procedures using calipers, micrometers and tape measure. Communicate with department leadership regarding issues and improvements. (15%)
• Package finished products in cartons, applying labels, and palletizing finished products. Gather and stage work. Maintain a clean work environment. (10%)
