Job summary

Mesa Contracting, LLC in Sherwood, OR is seeking a detail-oriented Excavation Grade Checker for a full-time position. You will measure and set grade stakes, assist with land grading, trenching, and site setups using rotating laser, grade rod, and GPS equipment.

Typical schedule Monday–Friday 7 am–3:30 pm. We offer competitive hourly wages ($32.33–$40.41) and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), FSA, dependent care, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and understanding grade stakes.
• Ability to operate rotating laser and GPS equipment safely.
• Experience with hand grading and site measurements.

Responsibilities

• Measure and set grade stakes for construction projects.
• Perform land grading, structure excavations and trench work.
• Use rotating laser, grade rod and GPS to ensure proper site setups.
• Establish benchmarks and elevations and guide heavy equipment safely.
