Job summary

Rummel Construction, Inc is looking for a Construction Grade Checker in the Phoenix Metro Area. The role involves setting grade stakes and guiding earth moving equipment for various projects across Arizona with potential out-of-state travel.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in grade checking, an understanding of heavy equipment operations, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., along with knowledge of survey stakes. Construction Grade Checker

Location: PHOENIX METRO AREA

Responsibilities

• Set grade stakes to guide earth moving equipment operators in cut & fill, sloping, excavation, and backfilling work at residential, commercial, heavy civil, highway, and energy sites.
• Observe, direct, and control equipment excavating activities to conform to stake references.
• Communicate with equipment operators, supervision, and management.
• Support projects throughout Arizona and may require out-of-state travel.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience performing grade checking.
• Experience with heavy equipment and use of measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Knowledge of marking and reading survey stakes to determine grade specifications.
• Ability to observe, direct, and control equipment excavating activities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with Trimble GPS Rover System is a plus.
