Job summary

AMETEK is seeking a focused assembler to join our manufacturing team in Michigan. You will read work orders, follow drawings, and assemble components with precision, using soldering and hand tools.

The role requires strong safety awareness and the ability to work well in a team to meet production targets. We offer an hourly position with a salary range of $30,000 to $40,000 per year, with opportunities to certify in soldering and advance within a global technology company.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work overtime with short notice.
• Complete internal Soldering Certification within six months of hire.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Follow safety standards and company policies.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and follow drawings or verbal instructions.
• Position and align parts in fixtures to spec.
• Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder or cement parts as instructed.
• Mount assemblies on chassis and connect wires between components.
• Install finished assemblies in probes and attach hardware to assemblies.
• Perform intermediate tasks such as potting, sanding, curing and color coding.
• Adjust materials for electrical or dimensional accuracy.
• Perform go/no-go testing to ensure production specs are met.
• Use hand tools to complete tasks with precision.
• Maintain hand-eye coordination and refer to drawings as needed.
• Reassemble or rework soldered units as required.
• Adhere to safety and company policies; perform other duties as requested.
