Job summary

Vitrek LLC is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our Joliet production team. This hands-on role is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and inspecting precision electronic instrumentation and electro-mechanical systems used in advanced measurement and testing applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years electro-mechanical assembly experience or military technical training.
• Proven SMT and through-hole soldering experience with fine-pitch components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, BOMs and ECOs.

Responsibilities

• Perform SMT and through-hole soldering, including fine-pitch components.
• Assemble electro-mechanical products, subassemblies, and box-build systems.
• Build, route, terminate, and label wires, cables, and harnesses per specifications.
• Read schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and ECOs.
• Inspect assemblies and components for quality and compliance with standards.
• Prepare materials by cutting, stripping, labeling, and organizing components for assembly; maintain quality & safety procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and production-ready.
• Support team objectives and assist with additional production activities.
