Vitrek LLC in Lockport, IL is seeking an Electronics Assembly Technician for first shift to build precision instruments. The role covers SMT and through-hole soldering, wiring, testing, and inspection of electro-mechanical systems used in high-accuracy measurement applications.

The candidate should have 3+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience, strong soldering skills, and the ability to read drawings and BOMs. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience or military technical training
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and assembly documentation
• Experience with SMT and through-hole soldering and fine-pitch components
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Responsibilities

• Perform SMT and through-hole soldering, including fine-pitch components and rework
• Assemble electronic subassemblies, electro-mechanical products, and box-build systems
• Wire, route, terminate, and label wires and cables per specifications
• Read schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and ECOs
• Inspect assemblies for workmanship, function, and production standards
• Prepare components and materials and maintain clean work areas
• Follow quality and safety procedures and support production goals
