Job summary

NDI is seeking a detail-oriented assembler in Shelburne, VT to perform electrical and mechanical assembly of medical device components. The role involves soldering cables, wiring PCBs, and performing basic continuity tests under a high-powered microscope.

You will maintain inventory, follow drawings, and document results. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, technical aptitude, and a disciplined approach to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have basic technical aptitude and be able to read process docs and drawings.
• Must be able to sit/stand for long periods and work under a microscope.
• Attention to detail in electrical/mechanical assembly and testing.
• Maintain safe, organized work area and adhere to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and solder cables and cable components.
• Solder small wires to printed circuit boards.
• Mechanically assemble connectors, enclosures, sub-assemblies, and micro-assemblies.
• Encapsulate electrical components in non-conductive materials as required.
• Perform basic electrical testing (continuity) and document results.
• Maintain accurate at-hand inventory and requisition supplies as needed.
• Adhere to safety practices and keep work area clean and organized.
• Suggest process improvements to manufacturing workflows.
