Job summary

Safran is seeking a Production Operator I in the United States (New York) to support the assembly of small to medium components. You will perform precision soldering, use hand and power tools, and ensure quality through inspection and testing of your own work.

Safety, accuracy, and adherence to detailed work instructions are essential in daily tasks. The role requires 2+ years in electronics assembly with soldering on PCBs, reading directions, and ERP/Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years electronics assembly experience with soldering on printed circuit boards
• Ability to solder/desolder/rework assemblies/SMT experience
• IPC-610 & JStandard 001 (preferred)
• Ability to read and follow directions with heavy attention to detail
• Familiarity with the ERP system and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Assemble small to medium-sized components with precision soldering
• Utilise a wide range of hand and power tools, fixtures and gauges for precision assembly
• Inspect and test own work to meet specifications and quality standards
• Verify and review others' work for accuracy and compliance
• Perform mechanical, optical, and electrical/electronic operations as required
• Follow detailed work instructions, safety protocols, and production procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
