Job summary

HBK Hottinger Brüel & Kjaer (HBK) is seeking a production assembler to build electromechanical sub-assemblies into finished units following detailed drawings and manufacturing procedures. The role involves microscope-assisted soldering, rework, and collaboration with calibration to ensure exact operation.

You will work on complex micro-scale assemblies, welding under a microscope, and cross-train across product lines.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in electromechanical assembly and soldering under a microscope.
• Must be able to read and understand engineering assembly drawings.
• Advanced schematic reading and ability to troubleshoot assemblies.
• Good mechanical aptitude and hand–eye dexterity.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Certified for J-STD C or IPC-610.

Responsibilities

• Assemble from sub-assembly to finished unit following drawings and procedures.
• Perform electromechanical assemblies under a microscope.
• Weld miniature parts under a microscope as required.
• Rework malfunctioning units and communicate with calibration to ensure proper operation.
• Cross-train to expand skills and knowledge across product lines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
