Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3 (2nd shift) in Rolling Meadows, IL to perform mechanical assembly, integration, and modification of complex systems such as LITENING Targeting Pods. You will read drawings, use precision hand tools and equipment, and ensure assemblies meet engineering specifications.

Requires 4 years of mechanical assembly experience (or an Associate's with 2 years), ability to obtain a US government Secret clearance, and US

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of mechanical assembly experience or an Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Hands-on experience with tooling and equipment.
• Experience following work instructions and reading/interpreting drawings.
• Experience with wire harnesses and/or cable assemblies.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly, integration, and modification of complex systems and components such as LITENING Targeting Pods.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
• Use precision hand tools, torque tools, measuring equipment and mechanical test equipment.
• Perform mechanical fit-up, alignment, and hardware installation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
