Job summary

Sterling Technologies Inc. in Wixom, MI is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician responsible for building wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical panels to precise engineering drawings and customer specs.

You will perform SMT and through-hole PCB assembly, rework, and testing, ensuring high-quality, compliant assemblies. Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical assembly or related production work.
• Experience with SMT and/or through-hole PCB assembly and hand soldering.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and schematics.
• Experience using inspection and testing devices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wire harnesses, cable assemblies, electrical boxes/panels per blueprints.
• Crimp, solder, terminate wires and install connectors.
• Perform SMT and through-hole PCB assembly and rework.
• Inspect PCBAs for solder quality and placement.
• Perform continuity and insulation testing.
• Maintain production records and report discrepancies.
• Follow IPC standards and maintain clean, safe work area.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams.
