Job summary

Methods Machine Tools, Wixom, MI, is seeking a Precision Electrical Assembler to join our production team. The role focuses on assembling high-precision mechanical and electrical components for CNC mills and lathes, requiring strong electromechanical skills and tight tolerance control.

You will read blueprints, follow SOPs, perform tests, and work with engineering and quality teams to ensure top-quality assemblies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certificate or associate degree in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in precision mechanical or electrical assembly (CNC or industrial equipment preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical subcomponents and systems for CNC machines with high accuracy.
• Align bearings, ball screws, spindles and other precision components.
• Use hand and power tools to torque, press, and fasten to precise specs.
• Perform functional tests on assemblies for proper operation and alignment.
• Install and route wiring harnesses and control panels.
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams and follow SOPs and quality checklists.
