Job summary

Okuma America Corporation is seeking an Electrical Assembler to support its distributor network and Retrofit Development Team. The role involves building electrical retrofit kits for CNC machines, following detailed engineering instructions and BOMs.

You will work on sub-panels, harnesses, and final assemblies while ensuring quality and safety standards. Ideal candidates will read wiring diagrams, have basic computer skills for ERP entries, and collaborate with Electrical Engineering to resolve

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, and bills of material (BOMs).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Basic computer skills and ability to accurately complete ERP transactions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review incoming orders and print all required documentation, including installation manuals, labels, and wire identification tubes.
• Cut wire to type, size, and length per wiring specifications and identify each wire with namer tubes.
• Crimp terminals onto wires and perform pin insertion per wiring diagrams, BOMs and assembly instructions.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering to resolve technical issues and troubleshoot assembly challenges.
• Mount, label, and assemble electrical components on sub-panels per engineering documentation and connect pre-assembled harnesses.
• Process ERP transactions and transfer kits to RDT or warehouse for shipment.
• Adhere to safety policies and quality standards; seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
