Job summary

RCO Engineering is seeking an EDM Operator who will support the tooling group in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong ownership and highly organized with a willingness to grow within the EDM group.

Responsibilities include designing precision electrodes with Visi Tooling CAD, programming with Visi CAM, setting up electrode blanks in Erowa holders, operating Makino EDM equipment, loading and burning components, and tracking production in Epicor

Qualifications

• EDM Experience: Proven background working directly as an EDM Operator.
• Manufacturing Background: Experience in production and/or prototype injection molding.
• Industry Sector: Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector is strongly preferred.
• Core Competencies: Strong organizational skills with high attention to technical detail.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Electrode Design: Design precision electrodes from project data using Visi Tooling CAD software
• NC Programming: Program electrodes efficiently utilizing Visi CAM software
• Preparation & Setup: Cut electrode blanks and accurately mount them into Erowa holders
• Electrode Machining: Operate and machine electrodes using Makino CNC electrode cutting machines
• EDM Operation: Load, locate, and burn components using three Makino sinker EDM machines
• Automation (Preferred): Utilize knowledge of Erowa electrode feeding robots to optimize workflows
• ERP Tracking: Complete daily production tracking and data entry within the Epicor ERP system
