Job summary

LeoForce in the San Diego area is seeking an experienced EDM Manufacturing Engineer to drive design-to-factory improvements. The role focuses on EDM processes, CNC programming, fixture/tooling design in SolidWorks, lean and Six Sigma methods, and AS9100 compliance.

You will lead First Article Inspections, develop robust CNC programs, mentor production staff, and collaborate across teams to raise quality and productivity on high-precision machining projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing engineering role with EDM.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and CNC programming.
• Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
• Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Experience in AS9100-certified environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize manufacturing methods using knowledge of design, materials, fabrication, tooling, and quality standards.
• Design and implement CNC programs for EDM machines to improve productivity and quality.
• Use SolidWorks to design fixtures and tooling for the process.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct First Article Inspections to ensure design compliance.

We are seeking a seasoned and innovative EDM Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a key player in the development and improvement of our manufacturing processes, utilizing their expertise in EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) to drive efficiency and productivity. Responsibilities

• Developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
• Designing and implementing robust CNC programs for EDM machines to optimize productivity and quality.
• Utilizing SolidWorks to design fixtures and tooling for the manufacturing process.
• Applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.
• Conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Ensuring all manufacturing processes and procedures are in compliance with AS9100 quality standards.
• Providing technical support and training to production staff as needed.

Qualifications
