Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is recruiting for an EDM Operator in the Newaygo, MI area. The position focuses on setting up and operating wire and sinker EDM machines to meet daily production goals. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Prior EDM machine operation experience in a machine shop is desired.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T symbols.
• Familiarity with micrometers and calipers for precise measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and keep the work area clean.
• Record production counts and inspection results on job paperwork.
• Report tooling wear, defects, and machine issues to the supervisor.
• Set up and operate wire and sinker EDM machines for daily production runs.
• Read blueprints and work instructions to confirm dimensions and tolerances.
• Load and align workpieces and electrodes on the machine table.
• Monitor cutting cycles and adjust settings to hold tolerance.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
