Dynomax, Inc. in Wheeling, IL is seeking an experienced EDM Machinist for Mold Repair to repair high precision injection mold tools. You will analyze specifications, set up and operate Wire and Sinker EDM, milling, and surface grinding equipment.

Responsibilities include verifying dimensions with calipers, micrometers and gauges; reading drawings with GD&T; and maintaining tolerances while assembling components. A strong focus on safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Mold Maker or EDM Machinist experience.
• Proficiency in injection mold tooling.
• Ability to hold ±0.0002” tolerances daily.
• Ability to read drawings and specs to produce precision parts.

Responsabilités

• Visualize and compute dimensions and tolerances of assemblies based on specifications.
• Study blueprints or specifications and use GD&T to plan sequences of operations for the manufacturing of mold components.
• Perform machining operations and set-up on tool room equipment such as Wire and Sinker EDM, milling equipment and surface grinders.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, smoothness and clearances of finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, indicators and microscopes.
• Perform critical bench and assembly operations including filing, grinding, shimming, and adjusting to fit, align, calibrate, adjust, assemble and ultimately finish project.
